The Japan Wine Challenge, founded in 1997, is an annual wine competition held every summer in Tokyo. Every year, hundreds of wineries compete for numerous trophies and awards in various classes.

Beginning in 2008, the organizers of the the Japan Wine Challenge decided to leverage all of the great wines submitted for judging into a Wine Challenge Gala Dinner, whose proceeds went to Charity.
